With barely enough time to recover from this year’s Great Escape festival, we’re already packing our bags and heading to Barcelona for Primavera Sound. If you’re lucky enough to be joining us, here’s just some of the acts not to miss:

John Talabot

Barcelona native John Talabot will be closing out Thursday night of the festival and playing a club show on the Wednesday – so you really have no excuse to not see him drop tracks from his excellent 2012 debut, Fin.

Tame Impala

We can’t think of a better band to watch as the sun goes down on the beach in Barcelona.

Solange

Beyonce’s younger sister will be one of the few pop-acts to take to the stage this year and hopefully she’ll bring along her main musical collaborator, Dev Hynes.

My Bloody Valentine

For many, this’ll be the first and possibly last chance of seeing the shoegaze legends’ fabled live show – dont forget the earplugs.

The Knife

Their recent live shows have been nothing short of bizarre, and we imagine the Swedish electro duo will blow everyone away when they perform their latest album Shaking The Habitual.

Merchandise

Merchandise were easily one of our highlights of The Great Escape, and we cant wait to see them perform their emotive sounds once again.

Goat

Goat hail from the remote lands of Northern Sweden and are renowned for their eccentric and energetic live shows.

If you can’t make it to Primavera Sound, check out its sister festival Optimus Primavera Sound, which takes place on the 30th May to the 1st June in Porto.
