Bloc Party Announce New Album Details & Summer Tour Dates

Bloc Party have announced details of their Four, their first album release since 2008′s Intimacy. According to singer Kele Okereke, this record’s been a long time coming, stating “There was a big question mark over whether Bloc Party were ever going to make another record again. We were exhausted and bored and distant from one another” on his personal blog.

Luckily for us, the indie four-piece will be putting out the album on August 20th via Frenchkiss Records, and have just announced a bunch of added festival dates for this summer. They’ll be playing a combination of new songs and familiar material from their decade-long inventory as a band.

It’s been about two years since they all played together live, and fans in Europe, the UK and the US should be pleased to see that they’ll be playing a variety of dates in all three locations. Please see below for more info, and the album trailer:
