Captured Tracks Announce Series Of Shoegaze Reissues

October 11, 2011 by

As someone who grew up hearing the sounds of shoegaze reverberating around their bedroom, it’s safe to say I’m very excited about Captured Track’s new venture.

The Seattle based label have announced today the arrival of their Shoegaze archives, which is a series of reissues from shoegaze acts around the world.

Mike Sniper of Captured Tracks had this to say of the project:

Our aim is not to define whatever it was that Shoegaze was and is, or even if it ever was a “thing” in the first place, it’s merely to seek out and make available excellent music that’s currently off the shelves.

The first releases from the archives will begin with re-releases of Should’s ‘A Folding Sieve’ and deardarkhead ‘Oceanside 1991 – 1993′ on 5th December and you can listen to both below.

SHOULD // Faded by TheArtOf…

deardarkhead // Just For You by TheArtOf…
