March 29, 2011 by

Death Cab for Cutie are set to record and broadcast the world’s first actual live music video for their new single “You Are A Tourist”.

The video will be directed by award-winning filmmaker Tim Nackashi and conceptualized by Aaron Stewart-Ahn, but more importantly it will be the first ever live, scripted, single-take music video to be broadcast as it is filmed.

Atlantic Records, Bing and RedLaser have all got together for the video and Death Cab fans can watch the production of the video for “You Are A Tourist” live at midnight on Tuesday April 5th at www.youareatourist.com.

After the broadcast behind-the-scenes photos of the band prepping for the video as well as from the live production itself will be available from Bing and Facebook.

“You Are A Tourist” is the first single from Death Cab for Cutie’s new album, “Codes And Keys”, which is out 30th May in the UK.
