Domino Reveals 7″ Singles Being Sold For Record Store Day

April 1, 2010 by

To celebrate the existence of Independent Record Stores Domino has announced they will be releasing the following vinyl on Saturday the 17th of April 2010, official Record Store Day.

I’ll let the team at Domino talk you through the releases:

The Fall – Bury 7”

The first single from the brand new album from The Fall is ‘Bury’ – available on 7”, backed with new track ‘Cowboy Gregori’, exclusively through participating stores on Record Store Day. The Fall’s new album ‘Your Future Our Clutter’ is a snarling masterpiece.

She & Him – In The Sun 7” + exclusive bag

She & Him are releasing the 7” of the first single from their new album ‘Volume Two’ as part of the Record Store Day festivities. The single ‘In The Sun’ is backed with Zooey and Matt’s wondrous Beach Boys cover ‘I Can Hear Music’ and the 7” will be packaged with a very cute limited edition cream tote bag featuring album artwork.

Pavement – Cut Your Hair 7”

Pavement are back! To rejoice in this fact, we’re making classic track ‘Cut Your Hair’ available on 7” heavyweight vinyl for the very first time, b/w ‘Grounded’ from the Crooked Rain session (which is different to the version on Wowee Zowee).

Villagers – Becoming a Jackal 7”

Domino’s much loved new signing, Villagers, are making their debut single ‘Becoming A Jackal’ available on 7” exclusively for Record Store Day. Backed with the beautiful album track ‘Twenty-Seven Strangers’, this is a perfect introduction to the world of Villagers.

Steve Mason – Boys Outside

Steve Mason’s quite stunning new album ‘Boys Outside’ will be released on vinyl (before it’s general release on May 3rd) exclusively through the more than 100 independent stores involved with Record Store Day. The album will be on heavyweight vinyl, with a special gatefold sleeve + download codes.

There you go, loads of stuff to spend your money on and all lovingly described by Domino themselves.
