Registration for Glastonbury 2010 has opened today (July 9).

With Glasto celebrating its 40th anniversary, Michael Eavis promises next year’s show will be very special. “We’ve got one or two headliners that haven’t played for a few years, and there are one or two that have never played here. But I’m not going to tell you names for that one, it will be the same old guessing game. It will not be better than this year – it’ll be a good show, but it has been fantastic with Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen.”

Early speculation about headliners include Oasis, Bob Dylan, U2, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Muse, Kanye West and Radiohead.

Adding to the speculation Eavis remarked, “I’m not saying names, it will be the same old guessing game, but they’re all on the phone at the moment so it will be special.”
