Mos Def, Femi Kuti & Rodrigo y Gabriela To Play New Glastonbury Stage

April 7, 2010 by

Glastonbury organisers have announced details of a new stage at this year’s festival, The West Holts Stage, which will replace the Jazz World stage (and occupy the same location).

The new stage will be headlined by Mos Def, George Clinton with Parliament / Funkadelic (pictured) and Rodrigo y Gabriela.

Talking of the new stage Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis said:”We’re going back to the real roots of Worthy Farm and its history with the name change for the stage, West Holts was a ‘halt’ originally; one of the two places where we had to open the level crossing gates across the old railway line to get the cattle through for milking. It was a fair walk up to the farm, just as it is now, and those cows took some driving!”
