According to reports in the News Of The World, Liam Gallagher has claimed he wants to release a new ‘Oasis’ album by July.

With Noel Gallagher recently departed from the Manchester band, Liam has remained adamant that the band will continue without him and is now looking to release a new album as early as next summer.

Liam told the Sunday paper “I’d like to have a record out by July next year,” he said. “We’ve already done about three songs and they’re f**king sounding amazing.”

The singer also told fans not to expect anything different “It ain’t a new direction. We’re not making reggae music or rap music. It might have a bit more energy or be fresher. It’s not going to be that different.”

The band are said to be releasing new material under the moniker Oasis 2.0.
