Paul Weller And Bruce Foxton Reunite For Albert Hall Show

May 27, 2010 by

It’s been a long 28 years since Paul Weller and Bruce Foxton parted ways. The former The Jam members have always refused to play together, yet last night Bass player Bruce Foxton joined Paul Weller on stage during a gig at the Royal Albert hall.

On Tuesday night, the 2nd night of Paul’s 5 night residency, they played new Paul Weller song “Fast Car / Slow Traffic”, as well as Jam classics “Eton Rifles” and “The Butterfly Collector”.

There has been no comment about the show from either Foxton or Weller, so whether this will be a permanent thing only they know.

The Jam split in 1982, with Weller going on to form the Style Council with Mick Talbot. Paul Weller has a new single “Find The Torch / Burn The Plans” / “Aim High” coming out on June 14th by Island Records.
