Radoihead frontman thom Yorke has announced he will be holding a live broadcast next week.

Yorke, writing on the official Radiohead website, Radiohead.com, explained that he would play the song ‘Reckoner’, from his band’s 2007 album ‘In Rainbows’, following the broadcast, which is set to take place simultaneously in selected cinemas globally.

Discussing the film, Yorke wrote: “There is a film that is getting a lot of attention called ‘Aged Of Stupid’. I’ve seen it and it stays with you – especially in light of the Copenhagen summit coming up in December where our glorious leaders must decide how we structure our plans to tackle climate change.

“After the screening, there will be a live discussion thing via global satellite link up
and after that I will be playing ‘Reckoner’ live from an undisclosed location.”

Also today, Yorke’s Radiohead badnmate, drummer Phil Selway has announced that he is working on a solo album.

The broadcast will take place on September 21st following the global premiere of the climate change-related film ‘Age Of Stupid’.
