The Answering Machine have announced a trio of shows at British youth hostels to coincide with the release of their debut album, ‘Another City, Another Sorry’ on the 15th June.

The Manchester quartet will play Manchester’s Hatters Hostel on the 15th June, Birmingham’s Hatters Hostel on the 16th June, and concluding at London’s Clink Hostel on the 17th June.

The free events, organised in conjunction with Manchester’s promoting collective Same Teens, will be open on a first come first served basis, and also to competition winners (open to ages 16+ in Manchester/Birmingham), with the prizes including a night’s free accommodation at the hostel.

Martin Colclough said: “We wanted to do something a bit different with these shows to help launch our album, and youth hostels seem an innovative and exciting new place to play.

“Alongside Same Teens who have helped us put these nights on, we’d like to invite everyone of all ages to come down and party with us for a few nights.”

The band will perform 3 sets in London on the 17th.

The dates are:

15th June @ Manchester Hatters Hostel (Entry 14+)
16th June @ Birmingham Hatters Hostel (Entry 14+)
17th June @ London Puregroove/1pm (All ages gig)
17th June @ London Borders, Oxford St/6pm (all ages gig)
17th June @ London Clink Hostel, 78 Kings Cross Road/9pm (Entry 18+)
