The Libertines Reforming For Reading and Leeds Festivals 2010

March 29, 2010 by

According to The Sun The Libertines are set to reform for an appearance at this year’s Reading and Leeds Festival.

The Sun Reports:

KATE MOSS’s ex and his old sparring partner CARL BARAT have put their differences behind them to reform THELIBERTINES.

The pair, along with ex-bandmates JOHN HASSALL and GARY POWELL, were spotted enjoying a drink in London last weekend to celebrate.

At this stage the band have only signed up for a headlining slot at the Reading and Leeds festivals in August. But it’s likely there will be further announcements down the line.

A source said: “They have agreed to play at Reading and Leeds.

“If it works out they will consider writing new material. The four of them only agreed to it after a secret rehearsal to see if it still worked.

“Carl is nervous about the reunion because he is worried Pete could let him down again. But Pete’s promised he will give his all for the gigs.”

As usual the source is unknown and Reading and Leeds Festival organisers are not willing to confirm. Tickets for this year’s Reading and Leeds Festival go on sale tonight and the full line-up will be announced.
