Egyptian Hip Hop – Wild Human Child (Unsigned) 01/02/2010

February 8, 2010 by

You’ve probably already heard of these guys before and not just because they have the most absurd band name around at the moment. In case you have not, they’re not actually a hip hop group, as that would be pretty crap, and have never actually stepped foot in Egypt. Instead Egyptian Hip Hop are four indie oiks with a penchant for pop hooks and disco beats that will be gracing the dance-floor of Koko and every other indie disco very shortly.

Their first single ‘Wild Human Child’ is a genre splicing introduction to the band’s world. And what a world it is, these 17 year old Mancunians manage to channel their many disparate elements into the sort of pop form that made Friendly Fires and Late of the Pier so exciting a couple of years back and do it with the ease of a band well beyond their years.

Expect to hear a lot more about these boys over the coming months and by the time their début long player hits the stores they’ll be everywhere.
